ABOVE, Within, Beneath, NOTHING LEFT UNSEEN
Aerial Intelligence That Solves Real Site Problems
Buildings deteriorate quietly. Faults hide in plain sight. Progress claims get disputed. Workers get sent up scaffolding, ladders, and rope access to answer questions a camera could answer from the ground. Site Matrix exists to close that gap — replacing slow, expensive and dangerous manual methods with fast, accurate, licensed drone data.
Every service below is built around a specific problem clients face on site — not just a capability we happen to have.
Service area: direct drone inspection services currently operate across Victoria, with growing regional and national coverage.

The financial case for Drone Technology
Time & Labour
Time savings of up to 90% on routine building and roof inspections; solar farm thermal inspections that take ~25 technician-hours per megawatt on foot can be completed by drone in around 10 minutes.
Risk & insurance
Industry research links drone adoption to a 20–30% reduction in Total Cost of Risk through lower workers’ comp exposure, fewer safety incidents, and stronger insurance/bonding positions. Falls from height remain a leading cause of workplace fatality in Australian construction.
Better decisions, fewer disputes
Drone capture is comprehensive, not sampled — commonly 100% coverage versus 10–25% manual sampling on something like a solar array.
Direct cost savings
Access crews removes their cost too — scaffolding can run $12–20/m² for a four-week hire; crane rental $1,000–$2,000/day. Total drone inspection savings typically run 30–60% against traditional methods, up to 70% in some infrastructure/pipeline conte
Net effect
Many organisations report paybacks within a single inspection cycle or project.
Side by Side Comparison
Drone vs Traditional Access
Each pillar alone gives you a view. The Site Matrix Method maps the right combination of Above, Within and Beneath to what your structure actually requires.
| Item | Traditional (scaffold / EWP / rope access) | Site Matrix (drone) |
|---|---|---|
| Time on site | 3–4 days typical for a facade or roof survey | Single day, often a few hours |
| Coverage | Sampled — access constraints limit what's actually checked | Comprehensive — commonly 100% coverage |
| Safety exposure | Falls from height — a leading cause of construction fatality | No one leaves the ground |
| Typical cost | Scaffold $12–20/m² + crane $1,000–2,000/day | 30–60% lower, up to 70% in some contexts |
Storm season is when roof and facade faults turn into claims. Get ahead of it — book your inspection before the seasonal peak, not after the damage is done.

Your questions answered
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you need access to my property or site?
Generally yes, however not necessarily required— inspections work can be undertaken from the air or agreed setback distances. Any site entry requirements (e.g. restricted airspace, fenced sites) are coordinated in advance during scoping.
What happens if it's too windy or rainy to fly?
We reschedule at no cost. Flights only go ahead within CASA-compliant weather and wind-speed limits, to protect both safety and data quality.
Who owns the data and imagery?
You do. All captured data, imagery and reports become your property on delivery; we retain a copy for our own records only
How long does a typical inspection take?
Most single-site inspections are completed between a few hours to a single day on site, weather permitting. Report turnaround is typically 2–5 business days depending on complexity.
Are you insured and licensed?
Yes — all flights are conducted under our CASA ReOC (9692) and a current RePL, with commercial liability insurance in place.
What if the inspection finds something urgent?
Any safety-critical or urgent finding is flagged to you immediately, ahead of the full report.
